Virgin Australia Reservations
Voluntary administrators have been placed in charge of Virgin Australia Group. The reservation will continue to fly all its regular scheduled reservations to transfer critical personnel and send Australians home. Currently, we expect that scheduled reservations will operate as usual. Virgin Australia's website has further details.
Virgin Australia, formerly Virgin Blue, is one of the country's major reservations. For the first time in its history, Virgin Australia reservations has rebranded itself as a "New World Carrier," allowing customers a choice between low-cost travel and a more luxurious experience.
Customers have given the reservation several accolades, including the 2013 Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) Award and the 2012 'Best Service' Skytrax World Reservation Award for its excellent service. In addition, velocity, the reservation's frequent flyer program, has been hailed as one of the finest for business travellers. Travellers who join Velocity may earn and redeem points with Virgin Australia, other program partners, and the reservation's foreign reservation partners from Australia by signing up with Velocity.

Check-in
If you're flying inside Australia, you may use the airport check-in counters or the online check-in, mobile check-in, or kiosk check-in services to save time. To obtain your boarding pass by email or SMS, enter your reservation or Velocity number, surname, and departure city at online or mobile check-in. Then, print your boarding card at home or at the airport's self-service kiosks, whichever you prefer. Web and mobile check-in services are available from 48 hours before your reservation's planned departure time to 30-40 minutes before your reservation's scheduled departure time.
Passengers may only check-in over the counter at the airport for foreign reservations. International short-haul counters open two hours before scheduled departure, whereas international long-haul counters open three hours before scheduled departure. Checking in at least 90 minutes before Virgin Australia reservations recommends withdrawal.
Allowance for personal Effects
Saver Lite rates do not include checked baggage on domestic reservations, while Saver and Flexi fares do, up to a total weight of 23 kilos per passenger. The business class cost consists of two pieces of checked luggage, each weighing 32 kilos. International short-haul passengers have the same baggage limitations as domestic ones, except for Premium Economy passengers, who are permitted to check in a maximum of two bags, each weighing a maximum of 32 kilos. For international long-haul reservations, baggage limits vary depending on the route taken.
There is a weight limit of 32 kilograms per bag for Premium Economy and Business Class passengers on Virgin Australia reservations. Economy Class travellers may check up to two bags weighing 23 kilos. All oversize items must be paid for. Depending on your route, you may be charged per piece or per pound for extra luggage. There are no restrictions on how many personal items or small bags travellers may take on short-haul domestic and international reservations. However, hand-carry goods and baggage should not weigh more than seven kilos.
